Thrust Ball Bearings have 2 forms: one way and two way. The former ones can withstand one-way axial load, while the latter ones can withstand two-way load.

But they can hardly bear radial load, neither suit for high speed rotation.

Bearings with washers assembled on the sphere surface ( the type of self-aligning washer or with self-aligning washers) have self-aligning property, which can reduce the influence of fix-errors.
